Managing document windows

When you have more than one document open, you can switch among them by choosing a document name from the bottom of the Window menu.

The flip bar along the top of the application window is another way of switching among windows. The flip bar lists all of the currently-open documents in the order in which you opened them. Each document's name appears on a flip tab. When you click a flip tab, Expression Design switches to that document.

Tip: You can also press CTRL+TAB to switch to the next document in the flip bar, or press CTRL+SHIFT+TAB to switch to the previous document.

Note that Expression Design adds an asterisk next to the file name whenever you have made changes to a saved document. When you save the file, the asterisk disappears.

You can also open another document window displaying the same document by clicking New View on the View menu. When you have multiple views of the same document, the document's title in the title bar and flip tab is followed by a number, indicating the order in which the window was opened. For more information about this feature, see New View.
